The next-generation Affymetrix Cytogenetics Research Solution includes arrays, reagents, and analysis software for the detection of a broad range of chromosome aberrations affecting phenotypes. The high-resolution array offers 2.7 million markers across the entire genome, including 400,000 SNPs to detect small structural changes and regions of autozygosity. The all-inclusive reagent kit and streamlined assay enable easier detection of chromosome aberrations compared to traditional methods. The software, designed specifically for cytogenetics research, offers options for data visualization, customization, and analysis. Unbiased, whole-genome coverage at the highest resolution
The Affymetrix® Cytogenetics Whole-Genome 2.7M Array provides the greatest power to detect known and novel aberrations across the entire genome. With unbiased, whole-genome coverage and the highest density of 2.7 million copy number markers, this array enables you to detect even the smallest submicroscopic aberrations, including those that would have been missed with classical techniques. It provides dense coverage of the RefSeq genes, cancer genes, miRNA regions, and haploinsufficiency genes, which are of particular relevance to cytogeneticists. In addition, the Whole-Genome 2.7M Array includes 400,000 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) that enable you to detect loss of heterozygosity (LOH), uniparental disomies (UPD), and regions of the genome that are identical-by-descent.
Simplify and streamline your assay
The Affymetrix® Cytogenetics Reagent Kit is a simple and reliable assay for accurate discovery and identification of copy number variants. Steps such as PCR and restriction digests have been eliminated, which means less than three hours of hands-on time in the lab and unsurpassed turnaround time from DNA to result. Requiring only 100 ng of genomic DNA, this assay is compatible with a variety of sample types used in cytogenetics research, including amniotic fluid, blood, cell lines, chorionic villi (CVS), fresh frozen tissue, and cell lines. In addition, you'll save time and money with an assay that includes all necessary reagents in a single kit.
