Millennium Science is appointed the Distributor for Panomics by Affymetrix, Inc.
Affymetrix is headquartered in Santa Clara, California, USA.
Millennium Science Pty Ltd has been appointed by Affymetrix, Inc., as the exclusive distributor of their Panomics range of products throughout Australia and New Zealand.
Millennium Science will formally assumed these responsibilities from April 1, 2010.
Affymetrix acquired Panomics in 2008 and is currently integrating Panomics products into the Affymetrix brand. The Panomics product line includes QuantiGene®, Procarta®, and cell analysis brands, all of which combine to address a wide variety of low- to mid-plex genetic, protein, and cellular analysis applications.
This product line represents high-growth opportunities for Affymetrix and includes a number of easy-to-use, low- to mid-plex products that sell into an installed base of more than 5,600 instruments worldwide. These products cover a broad range of sample types and offer a direct assay approach with high sensitivity and specificity. The assays do not require nucleic acid extraction or amplification, which streamlines workflows for applications such as gene expression, copy number, and cytogenetics.
Millennium Science is well placed to sell and support the QuantiGene and Procarta product lines, which complement the company’s cell biology and genomics product portfolios.
