Bren Collinson

Managing Director and CEO

Founder and CEO Bren Collinson has more than 30 years experience in the Science Industry starting his career as a Research Technician and Analytical Chemist in New Zealand in the early 1970's and moving into Sales and Marketing in the mid 1980's with a well known New Zealand distribution company.

In 1991 Bren moved his family to Melbourne, Australia to establish the Australasian sales operation for Molecular Dynamics (Sunnyvale, CA) and continued to grow that business until the merger of Molecular Dynamics with Amersham in 1998. Bren remained with Amersham as the Australasian Sales Manager for 12 months until moving on to establish Millennium Science in April 1999.

Under his leadership Millennium Science has experienced consistent revenue growth to become one of the most respected distributors of high technology systems for Life Science research in Australasia.


Richard Holder

National Sales Manager

National Sales Manager Richard Holder has accumulated 25 years experience in electronics and instrumentation in both the Government and Private sectors.

In 1980 Richard enlisted in the Royal Australian Navy and studied electronics. After graduating he served on several ships operating in international waters, maintaining and operating the navigation and ship-based weapons systems.

After resigning from the Navy in 1990 Richard accepted a position as a Field Service Engineer for an Australian distributor of medical / scientific equipment. In 1997 Richard formed Advanced Labs and Automated Laboratory Technologies (ALT).

In January 2005, Automated Laboratory Technologies was acquired by Millennium Science as a growth strategy to provide comprehensive automation solutions to the research sector. With over 15 years in the science industry, Richard Holder has a strong background in instrument service engineering and project management.


Pam Sandells

Finance and Operations Manager

With over 20 years experience in banking, administration and legal office management, Pam is now responsible for all finance and accounting functions at Millennium. Pam also assumes responsibility for all adminitrative and general operations activities within the company.


John Imgrund, Ph.D.

Marketing and Business Development Manager

John recieved his Ph.D. in poulation genetics at Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia. After graduating, he left Australia to join LI-COR Biosciences in the US. Living in Seattle, Washington, John was a Field Application Scientist covering the west coast of the US for about 6 years.

Following time as an FAS, John managed LI-COR's distributor network and also moved to LI-COR's corporate headquarters in Lincoln, Nebraska.

After two years in Lincoln, John returned home to Australia to join Millennium Science where he is now responsible for marketing and business development for the company.
