The PC-Scope Platform
Since incorporating in mid 1992 and announcing the PCScope in early 1993, the TriTek Corporation has installed over 100 video microscopes covering 14 unique applications in 17 countries around the world.
What is PC-Scope™ Technology?
In the early 1990's, we began by retrofitting conventional microscope stands - attaching stepper motors to manipulate the internal adjustments of each microscope and a video camera to provide additional imaging capabilities. To improve performance and reduce overall cost, we redesigned the optical microscope in 1995, optimizing it for motorized interface rather than hands-on touch-and-feel. Thus, the PC-Scope™, a modular and highly adaptable design architecture, was born.
How adaptable is PC-Scope™ Technology?
Over the last two decades, the PC-Scope™ has been configured for many unique robotic applications including automated comet assay (single cell gel electrophoresis), ballistics/forensics identification, semiconductor process material micro-alignment, protein crystallography databasing/imaging, radioactive material failure analysis and mixed oxide fuel quality assurance inspection, remote entomology/invasive species detection, and virtual/digital (telemedicine, telepathology) microscopy. The possibilities are endless. The PC-Scope™ can bring to life anything you put under a microscope!
