Join Oliver Skinner and Dr Saba Asad, Peter Doherty Institute for our next Cellular Conversations webinar.
In a recent Nature Immunology study, researchers from the Peter Doherty Institute and The University of Melbourne used 10x Genomics Single Cell Gene Expression and V(D)J Immune Profiling to track how a single naïve B cell generates diverse progeny during malaria infection.
The team uncovered key mechanisms driving B cell diversification, including clonal expansion, class-switch recombination, effector differentiation, and somatic hypermutation, while revealing how B cell development shifts from the bone marrow to the spleen during infection.
