Spatial Conversations – Lullabies of the aging brain: niche signals that enshroud neural stem cells

Join Stephanie Brauer (PhD candidate in the Cancer Neuroscience Laboratory at QIMR Berghofer, supervised by Dr Lachlan Harris) for our next Spatial Conversations webinar.
Neural stem cells lose their ability to generate new neurons as the brain ages, contributing to cognitive decline and neurodegenerative disease. In this webinar, Stephanie will demonstrate how spatial transcriptomics, combined with single cell RNA sequencing and multiomics integration, is being used to map cell cell interactions within the aging hippocampus. She will share how these approaches are revealing niche signals that regulate neural stem cell quiescence and provide new insights into restoring the brain’s regenerative capacity.
