Mycoplasma contamination is a major problem in cell culture that can greatly impact the reproducibility and validity of experimental results. And with more journals now requiring mycoplasma-tested cultures, regular testing helps keep your publications on track.
MycoStrip® 2.0 detects mycoplasma contamination using isothermal PCR, with results visualised on a lateral flow detection cassette. It identifies both live and dead mycoplasma, and targets the 16S rRNA gene of the most commonly found mycoplasma species in cell culture, including the six species that account for 95% of all contaminations.
