BioFlux enables a wide variety of cell-based assays in the fields of immunology, vascular biology, microbiology, cancer research, stem cells, and more. Many of these applications benefit from the ability to create a physiologically-relevant shear flow profile, such as platelet adhesion, cell adhesion, rolling velocity, transmigration and stem cell differentiation. Other applications can benefit from the ability to introduce compounds in a time-resolved and well-controlled manner, such as wound healing, pharmacology and neurite-outgrowth assays.
The BioFlux 200 System is a benchtop instrument which enables up to 24 temperature-controlled flow cell assays in parallel. The Pressure Interface connects a highly precise and accurate electropneumatic pump to the well plates to initiate controlled shear flow. The system works with your existing inverted microscope and is compatible with fluorescence, bright field, phase, and confocal imaging. The Controller connects to the Pressure Interface and controls shear flow, temperature and flow direction. BioFlux Plates are SBS-standard well plates with integrated flow cells that can be loaded using pipettes or liquid handling workstations. The bottom of each flow cell is formed with a 180μm cover slip for optimal imaging.
The BioFlux 1000z systems offer a fully-integrated solution for automated, high throughput shear flow assays. High performance microscopy components are seamlessly integrated with BioFlux controls to offer the ultimate in speed, precision and convenience.
BeQuanti is a software package designed to automatically detect and quantify cell interaction underflow. It is the instrumental solution for research laboratories working on cell trafficking for basic research and drug discovery. The software is optimized for parallel chamber under-flow settings and for phase contrast microscopy, independently of the flow direction.
BioFlux Montage enables full hardware control, image acquisition, and data analysis. It features the BioFlux Control Module to synchronize BioFlux experiments with imaging data acquisition. Optional data analysis modules are available to provide application-specific solutions with easy to use interfaces.
The BioFlux Prep Station provides a simple and effective solution for preparing BioFlux experiments away from the primary instrument. The unit maintains a small footprint and requires no software connections, making it ideal for placement in tissue culture hoods or lab benches.
With the BioFlux Quattro HT Array system, you can accelerate lead optimization while preserving relevant physiological conditions. The BioFlux Quattro comprises a 4-plate array that connects to one BioFlux controller. With the Quattro you can obtain quadruple your efficiency and decrease your experiment time while still keeping the ability to image plates on virtually any high content system or automated microscope. BioFlux Quattro is well suited for high throughput assays in cardiovascular, cancer, anti-microbial and immunology research and drug development.
BioFlux Touch makes it possible to program and control your microfluidic assays by means of a convenient touch interface, freeing up valuable bench space and minimizing contamination of your work environment. The compact nature of the system allows it to fit inside a hood or take up minimal bench space. The intuitive touch enabled software provides a simple way to control multiple experiments at once.
Used for longer runs at high or low shears. Ideal for cell alignment assays requiring high shear for longer periods of time, slow growing bacteria such as TB or urinary tract infections.
Used for invasion assays, chemotaxis, competitive biofilm assays, drug dosing, intra-channel comparisons when both inlets are running, wound healing and cell adhesion/wash assays.
Used for biofilms, cell adhesion experiments and lower shear platelet/thrombosis assays.
Used for modeling pathological events in the vasculature, ideal for thrombosis and vWF mediated platelet tethering.
The BioFlux EZ provides all the basic benefits of the industry standard BioFlux system, at a price point similar to a "home brew" flow cell setup. It can run up to 6 simultaneous flow cell experiments and is ideal for platelet aggregation, leukocyte adhesion, and biofilm analysis. The EZ works with an inverted microscope and is compatible with fluorescence, brightfield, phase and confocal imaging. User-friendly software automates experimental protocols and provides a powerful analysis package.
