Transfer Nest
Universal Transfer Nest for one plate and common interface between the LiCONiC instrument and the surrounding system. The transfer nest will accept SBS format plates according. Specially developed alignment comes with optimized sliding properties will align plates for accurate transfer positioning. The transfer nest will correct for mis-alignment of over to +/- 2 mm.

This transfer nesting station is the standard design and works on all of the LiCONiC products. The kit can be used for customers who have changed the design of their workstation and need a standard solution for their next design.
Dual Transfer Station
The dual slide station was designed for use by non-articulating robotic arms which need additional clearance from the storage units. With its precise stopping point it ensures that the devices need to be taught only once for accurate load and retrieval of the storage plates. The dual slide station can be used to place an STR Series (Periscope) product between two existing instruments. Plates from an STR Unit can be fed to both the external instruments simultaneously.
Flask Transfer Station
The flask transfer station allows the transport of "robo-flasks" and 175ml T Flasks to your tissue culture workstation. It is the only design for this type of transfer and work on the market. Automating your tissue culture process is now possible.
Lift Station
When stand-alone machines are placed under the table they can be provided with a lift station to transfer the plates to a external system. The lift station is normally in upper position, when handler loads or unloads a plate to the station the station goes to the load position.
Parallel Slide Station
The parallel slide station design allows a LiCONiC Unit to be integrated with an external liquid handler without the need of an additional robot. With its precise stopping point it ensures that the devices need to be taught only once for accurate load and retrieval of the storage plates. The transfer nest is spring loaded to ensure the longevity of the liquid handling tips.
Removable Transfer Station
The removable transfer station is available only for LiCONiC's STR Series. With its precise mounting point it ensures that the devices need to be taught only once for accurate load and retrieval of the storage plates. This transferstation can be detached from the storage unit for easy service and maintenance access especially for under the bench units.
SA-Attachment Kit
The SA-Attachment Kit is required only for LiCONiC's STX44-xxSA and STT1000-Kiwi. Normally, the BT-Attachment Kit can be mounted on all LiCONiC incubators. However, the standard mounting position for the BT-Attachment is not available for LiCONiC's STX44-xxSA and STT1000-Kiwi. The kit can be used by customers who have changed the design of their work-station and need a standard solution for the next design generation.
Shuttle Station
The function of the shuttle-station was designed for the elimination of an "inter transfer module", space constants and complications of adding robotic arms for distances of 170-1000mm. The source plates can be transferred from one work area to another with precision accuracy. This delivery system can be used for multiple functions and work-station designs.
Slide Station
The function of the slide station was designed for the use of non-articulating robotic arms that need additional clearance from the storage units. With its precise stopping point it ensures these devices need to be taught only once for accurate load and retrieval of the storage plates.
Standard Transfer Station
The Standard Transfer Station is a fixed station outside the StoreX system which can be accessed by the StoreX handler as well as by any external robotic system.

Swap Station
The Swap Station is mounted outside the StoreX system and consists of two transfer plates mounted on a swap drive rotating the transfer plates by 180 degrees. Barcode Reader
A Barcode Reader can be installed on the Lift Assembly. It allows the reading of barcodes on plates stored in the stackers. Barcodes have to be printed on the shorter side of the plates and have to face outwards to the StoreX Lift Assembly.

CO2 - Carbon Dioxide Option
As StoreX Incubators have to cope with frequent access they use a very advanced CO2 controller that is extremely accurate, fast und stable.
N2 - Nitrogen Option
As StoreX incubators have to cope with frequent access they use a high quality N2 controller. The nitrogen measurement is based on an oxygen measurement. The N2 option therefore assumes that oxygen is displaced by nitrogen.
O2 - Oxygen Option
The sensors of oxygen measurement are based on the same principles as described above. The main difference is the measurement range of the sensor used in the CO2 option
N-Way Decontamination
n-Way Decontamination effectively eliminates contamination and keeps the incubation chamber free of unwanted germs, while being absolutely harmless to the valuable substances stored inside the incubation chamber and causing no harm to the sensitive parts of the robotics.
RH Option
The RH Option allows the display and control of humidity inside the incubation chamber. A very high quality sensor is used in this option. Quality and accuracy of the sensor is maintained by the Swiss Federal Office of Metrology and the Swiss Accreditation Service.

Additional COM Ports (UCI)
Additional COM ports allow the end-user to run additional software on the host in parallel to the existing driver software. Bi-Directional Communications
The serial port on your PC is a full-duplex device meaning that it can send and receive data at the same time. In order to be able to do this, it uses separate lines for transmitting and receiving data. Some types of serial devices support only one-way communications and therefore use only two wires in the cable - the transmit line and the signal ground. All of our units use 2 way communication.
Ethernet
The module connects to any Ethernet network supporting the TCP/IP protocol suite and can communicate with any point on that network. By connection with an Internet Router the device can communicate with any Internet connected device. Ready for most up-to-date integration technologies as well as for offering the possibility to communicate with your unit anywhere and any time through your Local Network or even through the Internet.
Serial Interface
A data channel that transfer digital data in a serial fashion: one bit after the other over one wire or fiber. The serial port on a PC is a serial interface that is typically used to attach modems and data acquisition terminals. USB is high-speed serial interfaces that have superseded the serial port. Serial interfaces may have multiple lines, but only one line is used for data.
USB (Universal Serial Bus)
USB is widely used hardware interface for attaching peripheral devices. USB became popular for connecting nearly every external peripheral device. Replacing the serial and parallel port on a PC, at least four USB ports are standard on every computer. USB devices can be connected to without turning the computer off, enabling removable devices to be plugged and unplugged as needed. The feature, combined with easy-to-reach ports on the front of the computer case, gave rise to the ubiquitous storage and numerous applications.

STR44
The STR44 is the smallest member of the STR family. The STR44 has the same width as the STX44 and the same depth as the STX220. Its 44 MTP capacity make it perfectly suitable of small-scale integration, highly miniaturized applications or short time incubation assays. You can use the cassettes for standard plates or the other plate sizes or - if needed - mixing up to two configurations. Throughput can be increased by using two transfer-station positions on the deck. The STR44's compact size makes it ideal for applications with room constraints.
STR240
This unit shares the same footprint as the STX220, but with greater capacity. The STR240 will hold up to 240 MTP with 23mm pitch. It's ideal for multiple cassette/sample configurations. The unit sits entirely under the workstation or liquid handler deck. Multiple transfer-station can be used to increase production and throughput. The STR240 is ideal for protein crystallization work because the carrousel can be stationary with the Star concept allowing the periscope the only moving part, reducing vibration and movement of the samples. While allowing full remote access on handling and climate functions, you are still able to manually access the cassettes and samples through the large front door for loading and unloading your product.
STR602
This unit was originally designed for high throughput protein crystallization. By using the Star concept it allows maximum capacity and configuration. The delivery gate can be on the rear right/left or in rear center. This allows the unit to be positioned in the desired location. Multiple gates are also possible. The STR602 features LiCONiC's new Flush Gate that simplifies integration by omitting any obstacle in the Gate area. The STX44-xxBT version is available as Flush Front or as Flush Back version. The STX44-xxITSA (StandAlone) is designed for crystallization applications and integrations where the instrument is located on the floor. The STX44-xxITSA incubators have their handling controls in the upper part of the instrument. All vibration sources such as compressor are separated from the incubation chamber. The robotic access gate is located in the upper part of the housing. The SA configuration does not require table space and an SA configured StoreX can easily be put in position without the need of placing the unit on a table.
STX44-ITBT
The STX44-xxITBT (BenchTop) is designed for crystallization applications and integrations where the instrument is located on a table. The incubators have their handling controls on the lower part of the instrument. All vibration sources such as compressor are separated from the incubation chamber. The robotic access gate is located in the lower part of the housing. For very space effective arrangements the STX44-xxITBT can be placed on top of an STX44-xxITSA.
STX44-MISA
This option is a further minimization of the IT option. Within this option the whole electronics is placed in a seperate box away from the units body. It was developed when even the IT option could not create enough clearance.

STX44-Side Gate
The STX44 Side Gate configuration is designed for seamless integration at the side of other equipment whilst user door facing to the front. Whereas the BT version has located the controls and climate at the top of the unit for placement on a bench, the SA version has the controls and climate located at the bottom of the unit for placement on the floor.

The STX220-xxBT (BenchTop) configuration is designed for integration where the StoreX is located on the table surface or stacked on another unit. This configuration has the handling and climate controls on the top side of the instrument. The robotic access Gate is located on the lower side of the instrument.

STX500 Series
The newly developed handling with higher speeds, spring loaded instead of counter weight, and a flush gate improves the overall performance of the unit. The Flush Gate simplifies integration by omitting any obstacle in the Gate area. The STX500 Series supports a wide temperature and humidity range available as IC (Incubation), HC (high humidity cold storage), DC (dry, low humidity cold storage, HR (high humidity wide temperature range incubator), DR (dry, low humidity wide temperature range storage), and AR (adjustable humidity). The mechanical dimensions of all STX500 are identical and independent of any Climate Options.

STX1000 Series
The STX1000 is the largest carrousel based incubator of the StoreX series. Like the STX500 the STX1000 can be configured as double Decker carrousel allowing 880 MTP using 2x2 levels of standard 540 stackers or 1000 MTP using 680 stackers on the upper deck or configured as single deck using 1200 stackers maximizing its capacity to 1060 MTP. Despite its large capacity, the STX1000 with its 770mm depth and 1970mm height will still fit through any laboratory door or in any maintenance elevator. The wheels lock into place to ensure stability at the workstation. The STX1000 Series supports a wide temperature and humidity range. Namely the STX1000 is available as IC (Incubation), HC (high humidity cold storage), DC (dry, low humidity cold storage, DF (Deep Freezer), HR (high humidity wide temperature range incubator), DR (dry, low humidity wide temperature range storage) and AR (adjustable humidity). The mechanical dimensions of all STX1000 are identical and independent of any Climate Options.
